Medical Spanish · Live on Zoom

Live Medical Spanish for patient-facing clinical confidence.

AcrossTyme delivers expert-led Medical Spanish through live Zoom sessions for doctors, nurses, allied health staff, and front-desk teams across North America. The curriculum is built around the conversations clinicians actually have — intake and history-taking, pain assessment across validated scales, medication instructions, and plain-language discharge teaching — so progress maps directly to the next patient encounter.

The method

A pedagogical model designed to be measured.

AcrossTyme pairs synchronous live Medical Spanish instruction with a structured progression mapped to a proficiency scale. Learners re-test at every milestone, so the institution and the individual can both see growth — and so the next clinical rotation can rely on what was practised.

01
Placement

A 20-minute bilingual placement anchored to a simulated patient encounter places every learner in the right Medical Spanish cohort on day one.

02
Live drills

Synchronous Zoom sessions with an expert instructor, paced to speaking speed and clinical comprehension — built around real patient-dialogue scenarios.

03
Re-benchmark

Identical assessment battery at every milestone — intake, history-taking, pain scales, patient-education scripts — gains are reported back to the learner and the institution.

Who we serve

Built for clinicians and healthcare teams that need outcomes, not just exposure.

AcrossTyme runs dedicated Medical Spanish cohorts for the professionals whose Spanish must work in the room with the patient. Each cohort is calibrated to the context — exam-room, bedside, discharge — so practice maps to the next shift.

Bedside

Doctors, nurses, and allied health

Patient-facing Medical Spanish for the exam room — intake, history-taking, pain scales, medication reconciliation, and plain-language teaching at discharge. Cohorts for clinicians who need their Spanish to function on the next shift.

Medical schools

Medical schools and residency programs

Synchronous Medical Spanish lanes aligned to the clerkship or residency calendar. Programs receive term-by-term progress for each learner, with milestones mapped to clinical rotations.

Healthcare teams

Front-desk, MAs, CHWs, and care coordinators

Weekday shift-friendly cohorts for the staff who run the front of the clinic — schedulers, medical assistants, community health workers, and care coordinators — so the patient flow stays in Spanish without translation delays.

How it works

From discovery call to first clinical conversation in about three weeks.

  1. Week 0

    Discovery call

A 30-minute Zoom call with your program lead. We agree on audience (clinicians, MAs, school), scheduling around clinic or rotation hours, and the outcomes the cohort is meant to deliver.

  2. Week 1

    Placement and cohorting

Each learner takes a 20-minute bilingual placement anchored to a simulated patient encounter. Cohorts are built around level, timezone, and the clinical context — bedside, front-desk, or school.

  3. Week 2

    First live sessions

Medical Spanish sessions begin on Zoom with the assigned instructor cohort. Lesson plans, materials, and weekly targets are authored entirely by AcrossTyme — anchored to the dialogue patterns clinicians use daily.

  4. Week 3+

    Milestone re-benchmark

At each milestone, the same assessment battery repeats. Gains in speaking speed, clinical comprehension, and patient-education fluency are reported to the learner and the institution.
